1. We live in the information age. Where:
new developments in information and communication technology (ICT) are changing social and economic relations worldwide. ICT is changing the way we think, trade, learn, work and play. every individual or and organization need(s) information for a very simple thing like knowing the location of a shop to complex scientific researches. using or leaving timely, relevant and reliable information is a question of survival.

2. The world is becoming a village. 

Where:The activity of one can affect the survival of the other. no country or individual could win a competition of whatever kind without paying attention to information released at some parts of the world


ICT For Health

 1. TeleMedicine
ICT is being used in many (developing) countries and communities to facilitate remote consultation, diagnosis and treatment. In Gambia, for example, nurses in remote villages use digital cameras to download images of symptoms onto a PC and transfer them to nearby towns for examination by doctors.

 

2. For disease prevention and epidemic response efforts

Public broadcast media such as radio and television have a long history of effectively facilitating the dissemination of public health messages and disease prevention techniques in developing countries.
he Internet also can be utilized to improve disease prevention by enabling more effective monitoring and response mechanisms 


3. Training and Capacity Building
Health workers in developing countries are accessing relevant medical training through ICT-enabled delivery mechanisms. Several new malaria Internet sites for health professionals include innovative 'teach and test' self-assessment modules.



4. To improve the administrative efficiency of  public health systems

                ICT can also be applied to improving the efficiency of medical facility
